Donating funds to animal shelter

Can anyone tell me which shelter is in need most of monetary funds and the process of getting money to them? I'll be in Wonju in 3 weeks and would like to help out. Your little furry family looks so cute! Your dog is looking at your cat like "Don't you dare swat me in the face again!" :D

As for donations, I think all shelters are fairly equal in need. The bigger places like KAPS would get more donations I guess, but also do more with the funds (KAPS just opened a big new shelter in Boeun, for example). Hard to say where exactly is the best place to put your money, I usually go with whatever is closest.

Have you had any luck finding that "Taebaek Beautiful Hill" place in Kangwon Do? If so, you could just give them cash directly or ask them for their bank info and do direct deposit if you find that they are doing good work (yeah, I recommend checking them out first).

Tim has set up a donation fund at the Royal Animal Clinic in Daejeon for the vetting of the animals coming out of the Daejeon shelter. You can contact Tim directly to find out the bank account info. http://www.lonelylifetime.com/news/korea/daejeon-shelter-update/

KAPS (Korean Animal Protection Society) in Daegu takes donations from the English section of their web site (the Donate link is in the left sidebar for online donations). I think their bank account info is on the site, too, but you'll have to poke around a bit, I can't seem to find it ??? Otherwise, contact the director at the email at the bottom of the website: http://www.koreananimals.or.kr/
They also take volunteers to help clean and/or hang out and play with the animals.
