Hi everyone, I'm Michael and will be transferring to Camp Long, Wonju the middle of Nov 07. I'm bringing my dog Gonzo with me, he's a collie/lab mix and weighs about 29lbs. My question is can I bring him on a train or a bus in Korea without being in a carrier?

Hi Michael,
Unfortunately, animals have to be carried in a proper carrier in public transit (service animals being the exception). I just got a Jindo (15 Kg, 30lbs) and I was wondering the same thing as you. however earlier this week I saw a sign and the subway station indicating that animals have to be in a carrier, if not they are not allowed on the bus, or subway.

Thank you Karen, I appreciate the quick response and hopefully I can meet you when I get to Korea, you are my hero for what you do for animals. :)

PuppyandGonzo, thanks for the encouraging words, that's sweet... but all I've really done is create a web space for the many, many heroes to meet each other :D I wish I could be participating more, but in fact I've moved back to Canada to go back to school.
