Hi to all intended and potential volunteers,

I deeply regret that I am unable to attend this momentous event in the lives of 70 fortunate dogs. However I am aware that these stories of ordinary people doing extraordinary things, could and perhaps should be shared with a wider audience.

Most ordinary folks out there care about animals and are interested in these exceptional endeavours. So, I'd like to make a suggestion, that is, if somebody is interested in the following: Anyone who is going and who perhaps may not be heavily involved in the physical work, to please talke along a camera and record the event .....(stills, but better still, movie) as much as possible.

Thereafter, you can send the story to CNN I-report. Each week this international news channel features stories from ordinary people all over the world who witness and record events that are newsworthy.

To find out how to send it, go to http://edition.cnn.com/ireport/ And if you can manage to do it, try to have someone interview you on camera from time to time commenting on what is going on. It is a chance to bring the plight of Korea's dogs and cats to the world ... one never knows what a bit of serendipitous publicity may spawn ???!!

(For Tim and the organisers - how about contacting the press and inviting them to cover it?) As I said, I am so sorry that I am unable to do it myself. I will be sitting in the dentists chair undergoing something a bit more painful. Not that you have to sympathise with me!

Good luck, and strength to your artistic/journalistic arm!

Yours sincerely,
Laurine le Roux

To clarify, anyone who can get videos can send them to CNN i-report. Not that CNN is coming

But, I went to MBC today and they said they would try to come tomorrow. He was concerned if anyone would say anything bad about the city of Daejeon, so I told him how appreciative we were to have gotten the extensions so we could get the dogs adopted and moved. The volunteers have really enjoyed working together with the dogs.

So tomorrow plz, if anyone is interviewed (if they come), keep it upbeat for the sake of the dogs and the next shelter that may have these issues with the city.

And of course, try to let the viewers know what to do with an unwanted dog instead of turning it loose because domesticated animals cannot fend for themselves. Take it to a vet or petshop who takes in rescues.

I would avoid the words "dumping" and "abandonment" but that's just my opinion. It's your call. Just remember, they won't broadcast negativity toward Daejeon.
