Nabiya is a privately-run shelter in Seoul which rescues and finds homes for cats and kittens. They were located in Itaewon until July 2009 but have since moved to Seobinggo Yongsan, Seoul.

Nabiya welcomes volunteers to help care for the cats. Donations of cash or cat supplies would also be most appreciated :)

If you are interested in adopting or fostering from Nabiya, please read this post (http://www.animalrescuekorea.org/forums/showthread.php?t=2782).

Hello! I live in Yongsan with my family, and am interested at volunteering on an ongoing basis at the Itaewon Cat shelter. My daughters and I did this in Washington DC for a cat rescue, and it was very rewarding.

Please email me at gryandrowansmum@yahoo.com or send a message through this site.

edited to add- email in Korean is okay, but English is easier!

Hi Cami,

I'm sure Nabiya will be very happy to hear you want to volunteer, that's great!

The Nabiya shelter is still in Seoul, but has moved from Itaewon to Seobinggo Yongsan. Allie, the shelter manager, has posted info in the Adoptable Cats section, here:
http://www.animalrescuekorea.org/forums/showthread.php?t=116

The best way to get ahold of her is to call her cell, which is also in the link above. I will update this post now to reflect the changes she posted there. Sorry about that :o.
