Description:

When we first met Eddie at the KAPS shelter in Daegu we were struck by his amiability and liveliness. He asked to play as soon as we came up to his cage. We took him into the yard where he sat on our laps and watched the other dogs play for a little while before he joined in the fun. He was happy and sweet with us and the other dogs , equally content to play dog games or just curl up in our laps.

He is a small, sweet little guy who will follow you from room to room just to be with you. He is excellent at cuddling and walking. Unfortunately, we have not had much of a chance to get to know him past these great first impressions. Eddie became very ill soon after we brought him home. He had kennel cough at first, which developed into distemper and pneumonia.

The poor little thing has been a trooper, spending the last three weeks at an animal hospital. He has always been very compliant, sitting calmly in his carrier and enduring the bus rides to the hospital quietly. Although he has been saved from death by a very good vet, he is suffering a slow recovery and still requires care around the clock. He is a loyal dog, and will always muster up a little bit of a tail wag to show he's grateful and hanging in there when we visit.

The vet is very hopeful, still, that Eddie will recover. It may take some time but the vet is very eager to do all he can. He has said that getting Eddie healthy means a lot to him; he's also impressed to hear about the work KAPS is doing with the shelter and foster/adoption program.

We're all rooting for Eddie to get better soon so that he can enjoy the rest of his life happy and healthy in a loving home. He's a sweet, curious little fox of a dog. We think his best features are his tail, which curves in a funny way and is tipped in white, and his ears, which are adorably too big for his tiny body. We're looking forward for other people to meet and get to know Eddie! He's wonderful, and has been through so much so bravely.

Wow, what a tough little guy!! Thanks so much for helping him get through this rough patch, and I'm sending lots of positive energy to you and little Eddie!

Eddie fought a good fight and his fosters worked so hard to save him, but his health kept failing and he continued to become more and more sick despite the vet's best efforts. Eddie's fosters knew it was time to let Eddie go and he passed away having known love, if just for a short time. Goodbye little one, you're loved and missed ♥

I'm so sorry to hear this. My heart goes out to everyone who fought so hard for him, and thanks so much to his foster parents for having given him a loving home.
