Cody

Like the other Jindos at Daejeon Paws, Ms. Jung rescued Cody sometime between 2005 and 2007 to save her from being killed for meat. I don't know Cody very well, but as far as I've known her she seems friendly, confident and very adoptable. I've taken her out for walks at least once or twice and she was nice to walk--like most of the dogs, though, she pulls on her leash because she's so happy to get out.

Cody has never shown any aggression, but because of her shelter background it's likely she'll need time to adjust to life as a family member. For that reason, she needs an adult-only home with no other animals where she's the centre of attention.

In early 2011 all the Jindos at Daejeon Paws had checkups and Cody was the only one who tested positive for heartworm. I believe she was treated successfully and that all the dogs are on preventative now. I would check with Sylvia for details (e.g., whether she's had any follow-up tests and received a clean bill of health).
