Description:

1/2/2012 Update: Sunny is not even the same dog as I took home from the shelter 3 months ago. He is so fluffy i did a double take after being gone three days. He has so much fur and his only bald spot left on his neck is now being populated by hair! YAY! He has such a personality and loves to play and cuddle. He LOVES walks, despite the cold. He very much hates clothes (which i think is hilarious) and will brave the cold all natural. He might need a pick up every now and then but mostly powers through it. I will youtube a video of him walking soon - he is quite the little man. :) He is completely healthy but is still on the special allergy food. He is up to date on vaccines and is receiving monthly heartworm prevention. He is SUCH a great companion.

12/16 UPDATE: Sunny has had some new challenges and adventures this week. We have another foster at the house; a puppy that i found on the street (http://www.animalrescuekorea.org/dog/545) so Sunny has had to learn to share his space. He has been amazing about not being possessive over his toys, beds, food, or water. He's been getting a little ruffled when he doesn't want to play and the pup does, but otherwise is doing really well! I think he would prefer to be the only dog in the house but if you had another dog, i think he would learn to love having a forever friend there.

I met Sunny on October 1st at the Asan Shelter. At that time, he was barely skin and bones with only a small fur coat. I couldn't get the little guy out of my head, especially with the dropping temperatures, so I knit him a sweater before I visited him the next week. That Sunday, I gave him the sweater and took him home with me to foster.

We went to the vet the next day and he said had a very bad ear infection and also a skin infection or condition; either way it is treatable. He has been on antibiotics, gets regular medicated baths, and is doing great! His hair is growing back and he has gained some weight. He is a super sweet pup and loves to go for walks and cuddle. He is learning to play with toys and is great at pouncing. When he's tired, he loves to burrow in blankets with only his nose sticking out. It's adorable. He is crate trained and pee pad trained. We are doing a language exchange; he is teaching me Korean and I am teaching him English so he will be bilingual by the time he is in his forever home. He has met kids on walks and also at school and is really good with them. We are going to have some doggydates soon so I will keep you posted on his behavior with other animals. He has been on the train and the subway and is very calm and loves the attention he gets from passengers. He is truly a superstar!

What a great write-up Michelle! You are doing such a good job with him. I hope he finds an amazing forever home soon so you can move onto the next angel in need ;)

Sunny is BURSTING with energy these days now that he is feeling better. He has quite the fun personality and loves to run after his rope or a ball. He still sleeps the entire time I am gone and I've been leaving his crate door open while i'm gone and he has not chewed anything! He can amuse himself while I am cooking by chewing on his rope and when I'm studying he's content just curling up in my lap or beside me. He is such a great companion!

Hey everyone! Thought I would write some things about how Sunny is doing. He is doing great! :) I have had him for 5 months now, and we are enjoying every moment. He has showed a lot of progress when it comes to his growling problem, and is starting to feel safer around other dogs. He has made dog-friends in the park and loves cats above all.
In August we will be going back to Norway together. He is ready to go and is looking forward! So am I.
