Description:

Milton is an absolute sweetheart. He is cuddly and playful and really loving. I decided to foster this little fellow after he was dumped at Yangju shelter. The staff there were worried that due to his age that he wouldn't survive the outside shelter conditions in the winter. I'm so glad that I decided to foster him. He has brought me so much joy and I can't wait for him to find his forever home where he can thrive and grow to become a permanent member of a household who will cherish and love him for who he is.

At this point I should mention that Milton was born without eyes. Since he was born this way he doesn't know any different so he behaves just like a normal puppy. To be honest, I haven't noticed either. He is just as mischievous and playful as a fully sighted puppy. I haven't found that he needs extra special care, so he is not a burden in the slightest. The only extra special care that you would need to take with him is to ensure that there is nothing in your home that he can hurt himself on when you are not there.

He is also a very confident little pup inside the house, but outside the house he can become a little afraid. Once he is on an established route he is very confident and happily trots along beside you, but when he is in a new situation outside he becomes slightly scared and needs lots of encouragement. He is getting there, but slowly and in time, when he is comfortable in his new home with his new owner, he will get used to his new surroundings and once familiar with his surroundings he will enjoy walking. It is also helpful to carry something that will jangle so that he can follow the sound. When I take him to the basketball court he absolutely loves it, especially if there are crunchy leaves for him to attack and chase.

He seems to adapt really well to new situations, so any shyness he has is soon forgotten about once he has figured things out. He is very playful with other dogs, but he can overstep the mark, as he is blind he cannot take visual clues that he should back off, so a house with a very laid back tolerant dog is preferred to one who may become stressed out with him. He can also go to a home with no dogs too. I haven't seen him around children, but from his eagerness to please adult humans I would say that it is ok for him to go into a home with small children.

He is doing well with his toilet training. He knows where his pee pad is and uses it regularly, aside from a few accidents here and there. He is also starting to realise that he gets treats when he goes outside so he has done a few times. That is still a working progress.

I had my vet check Milton over and aside from his lack of sight he is a perfectly healthy pup. The vet estimates that he is around 3-4 months old. Milton is also up to date on his shots that he is able to have at this age. He is not spayed due to him being too young.

I do hope that people will overlook the fact that he is blind and see him for what he is: adorable, loving, playful and the bestest friend you didn't know until you found him. He sees with his heart not his eyes and he is waiting for someone to love him just the way he is.
