UPDATE: Adoption Pending! Thank you everyone for your help and interest!

I found this adorable little pup on the street, whimpering under some scrap metal in an alley. He was filthy and shivering, and there was no evidence of ownership, leash, collar, food or water. I waited around for an hour and a half before I coaxed him out and put him in my coat to take him home for a warm bath for the night. He is so sweet, and he deserves a wonderful home and a much better life than the streets of Sangsu! He's about 3 months old and still teething, but is so gentle, cuddly, and playful. The day after I found him, I noticed his distended belly and he exhibited worms, so I took him to the vet for de-worming and the infection should be gone by Tuesday. My apartment is not ideal for foster care and I desperately don't want to take him to a shelter, so I would love to find him a short term foster while working on finding him a forever home. However, due to housing circumstances, it's urgent that I find him a foster or adoptee soon.

He's pure puppy - a total goofball that loves to cuddle and lay as close to you as possible when napping. You can't help but laugh when playing with him and his clumsy body. He's very curious and has an excellent nose- he's always got his nose to the ground discovering new things. He plays so quietly and loves toys, and he knows when playtime is appropriate and when it's time to settle down. He's truly gentle, and doesn't get too hyper or overexcited. I carried him back and forth to the vet in my arms and he didn't wriggle away once or make a sound, just rested comfortably in the blanket and took in all the sights! I have been working to potty-train him in the last few days and he's doing very well. However, he's so young that he needs to be let out often until he grows a bit, as his puppy bladder cannot hold it in for too long. Ideally he would be crate-trained so that he has his own space and continues to develop into a confident, happy dog. :)

Please let me know if you're interested in adoption or fostering this sweet boy. My best guess is that he's some kind of terrier mix, and that he will be a pretty small dog (he's half the size of our cat right now). I think he'd do wonderfully even with children. He acts like a gentleman with our cat, and I know he'd LOVE to play with other dogs (the cat has so far been unreceptive to his polite inquiries to play, haha). He's so cute and charming that I'm positive he'll find a home very soon. Everyone remarks on how cute he is! My only hope is to find him a qualified owner for puppy-raising (it's very rewarding, but does take work!).

I have frequented the area that I found him in and checked for missing dog postings both around the neighborhood and at the vet to make sure no one is missing him, as well as checked numerous Korean websites with lost puppy listings, but with a belly full of worms and a dirty coat, it's hard to imagine that he's lost! I'll continue to monitor craigslist, Korean animal services postings, and ask around the neighborhood to ensure he isn't missing from an existing home. Should any news come up, I'll post an update!

Thanks so much for reading, and apologies for the blurry photos! All I have is my phone and he's quite the wiggly one when the camera comes out, unless he's sleeping. :) I will update with more (and better) photos soon!
