*Update-March 26th*
Lori is doing so well at BAPS. This shy little girl is becoming more comfortable around people thanks to one wonderful volunteer who has dedicated her Sunday at BAPS to helping little Lori. She hasn't been for a real walk yet but she walking around the shelter a little in her harness. Sunday brought some great news for Lori. As a result of the successful fundraising at "Music For Mutts 2", Lori will shortly begin treatment for her heart worm. Lori needs to spend 2 month in a dog free home to receive her treatment and recover. As the treatment puts a lot of stress on the dog's heart, Lori won't be able to go out for walks for 2 months. We are currently searching for a foster home for sweet little Lori. If you would like to give this very shy girl a new lease of life and the chance to live in a loving home the please consider fostering Lori for her heart worm treatment.

*Update-March 20th
Lori hasn't been for a walk yet but she is becoming more comfortable around people. She loves curling up in volunteers laps and getting petted. She is a beautiful and gentle dog just looking for someone willing to invest time in helping her become a happy and carefree pup.

This is Lori, she recently came to BAPS from the pound 2 weeks ago along with 5 other dogs. While the other dogs were excited by their new surroundings Lori was very timid. This little girl has obviously had a tough time recently, when she first arrived she was so shy and nervous. She was afraid to go for a walk. But a dedicated volunteers are spending time with her to try to to convince her to come out for some cuddles and treats. Lori has a beautiful coat and is adorably cute. When I got into the cage with her she was too scared to come out of her house until she saw her cagemate getting cuddles. Lori just needs a loving home where she can learn to be a fun loving dog again.

Medical history:
Needs a few more rounds of vaccinations. She is receiving them at the shelter.
She is not spayed yet.
Unfortunately, poor Lori has heartworm. She needs a foster or forever home soon so she can begin treatment.

Shy Lori is a BAPS dog, which means anyone interested in fostering or adopting her will need to complete the adoption application (http://www.animalrescuekorea.org/adoption-application) and volunteer two Sundays in a row (from 11-3) at our shelter. For an adoption, one must complete a month long trial to make sure you and the dog are a good fit! You can visit the shelter page for more information!

*BAPS also has a sponsorship program. Anyone interested can give 200,000 won for a dog to have their full health check, be neutered or spayed, and get any necessary dental work. If you are interested in sponsoring Lori, please let me know!

Adoption Fee: ₩100,000
Location: Busan - 부산
Living Situation: In foster care

It's the shy, quiet dogs that break my heart the most - they look like they've given up hope. Hang in there, Lori! Someone will see how beautiful you are! :)

Well we haven't given up on Lori. She's starting to become more friendly with people and other dogs. She was outside on her lead walking around the shelter on Sunday. One of our volunteers has been great with Lori, spending all Sunday with her so I think that has helped her a lot. She's a lucky girl as she will soon be going into foster care to be treated for her heartworm so hopefully we can find a wonderful home for her.

Lori has been staying with me for nearly 2 months now for her heartworm treatment. She has been a delight to have in the house. She is very affectionate, just wants to be near her human. She is always very quiet and is very good about using her puppy pad. She has been a patient pup during her treatment, but I can tell she wants so badly to go for a walk outside in the sunshine.

Today I sent a confident, healthy Lori back to the shelter owners. Her transition from shy and scared to who she is today is just amazing. She has only mastered "sit" and "no" commands, but she's a fast learner. She has really grown to love outdoor walks and does very well on the leash.
She has been such a sweet little buddy. I'm really going to miss her.

She has left her foster home and is ready for her family.
