Spikes

Spikes was adopted last week by David and his lovely family! He is being spoiled rotten by 2 teenage girls right this moment ;)

Spikes is a very handsome 11 week old male kitten looking for his forever home. Spikes came to us as part of a litter of four kittens at only 3 weeks old and right from the start he was the most handsome little man ever!! Spikes loves to cuddle, but he is very independant and can occupy himself for hours with just about anything ;) He also loves his friend and personal groomer, our 2 year old Persian.

That's where the name comes from too...when he was about 4 weeks old, we let them out with our cats for the first time and after a few sniffs our cat decided Spikes need a good bath!! About 20 minutes later he was as clean as ever, soaking wet and his hair was just standing straight up in all directions ;) This grooming ritual is now a standing date daily between these two...then again, we cannot blame the groomer for the do, as his hair did the same after he had his ringworm baths ;) Spikes and all his siblings developed ringworm, but he has recovered completely and all the hair has grown back.

Spikes like to think he hunts for his own food, and will try to "kill" his snacks and kibble with a very decisive kitty swat from time to time. He loves to eat, he is litterbox trained in perfect health. He has been dewormed and is due for his first round of vaccinations soon. He is used to a scratch post and does not sharpen his nails on anything other than that ;)

Spikes really is a beautiful kitten with a personality to match. He is a gentle soul with the most unique patterns I have seen in a long time. He is the only one still looking for his forever home and he will definitely win you over with his looks and charm and become part of the family instantly ;) He is the perfect kitty for a household with children as he is such a soft mannered little man as long as there will be a warm lap for him to nap in after playtime!!
