Wren

Kitty Strengths: Japanese Bobtail, energetic, playful, welcomes you home, independent.

I have been fostering Wren since the beginning of March. She is very playful and has a unique personality! She greets me at the door every time I come home, excited for the chance to play. She is super friendly and is often near me when I am home, whether I am working on the computer or relaxing on the bed. She loves looking out the window at everything. She really enjoys playing with water and she comes running each time I turn on the faucet.

Wren will make a wonderful cat for someone! Please come and meet her!

APPEARANCE

Wren is a beautiful, well-muscled cat. I suspect she is a Japanese Bobtail with her cute, expressive cropped tail, huge eyes and calico markings. Her fur is incredibly soft and her eyes an unusual shade of turquoise green. She is missing the tip of one ear. She also sports a two-coloured helmet of orange and black, divided straight down the middle. She is a very characterful looking kitty!

CHARACTER

Wren is incredibly cheeky and playful. If you open anything: a cupboard, a door, your handbag, she's straight over and sticking her head in where she can. If you're a bit of a fan of napping like me, she'll curl up against your belly and nap with you. She loves racing around the room and attacks her toys with vigour! Common to her breed, she has a chirruping voice that can range from bird-like twitters of curiosity to dog-like growls when someone passes in the corridor outside! She loves sitting at the window and surveying things, informing me of what's going on in her sing-song way. She's tremendous fun and is definitely a kitty who will do well with company.

HISTORY

Wren joined the home of an original Nabiya adoptee from a few years back (Whiskey, adopted before Christmas). Unfortunately, the owners had to return to the States and were not in a position to take Wren or Whiskey with them. Both cats had been owned since they were kittens, so the experience has been for hard on them with Wren not eating for a few days after coming to Nabiya. Wren lived in one foster home for a few months in the winter, and she has been with me since the beginning of March.

IDEAL HOME

In my opinion, Wren is looking for a home with a fun energy. She's really very playful and almost dog-like in her mannerisms. She swings between bouts of naughtiness and extreme affection. She's really a very sweet cat. If you're a fan of Hello Kitty, it might help to know that the famous neko is also a Japanese bobtail!
