Is there an address to this location? It's hard to tell a taxi or use a Gps
To find.

Am I still allowed to go visit and help out?

Jamarianb's picture

Yes you are. I finally made it there early January. I have been going there every 2 weeks sometimes. I am planning to go again this Sunday. She usually needs help with cleaning up around the place. I am trying to walk the dogs more.

randomizereh's picture

Am I allowed to go on weekdays too? Or only Saturdays and Sundays
And could you give me the address please so that I can find my way there?

Jamarianb's picture

You can go anytime of the week. They really don't have an address or none that I have found. Even on Korean sites you have to find it by pictures. They don't want people to start bringing their dogs their. It prevents people from abandoning them. When do you plan to go? I can help direct you. But to begin, you go to Salung (사릉) station.

I was kind of hoping to go today haha... But if not I'll try to go on Sunday!
And for the first time my mom is driving me there, but after a couple of times I'm hoping to travel there by myself through subway.

Jamarianb's picture

Good luck with that. I hope you can make it. I might go on Friday too. not sure. after 2

Thanks for posting! It's great to hear that this shelter is getting some support! Maybe seeing what the shelter looks like will help recruit more volunteers. If anyone happens to have photos, please share :)

I'll try and take some photos the next time I am there. I don't use my phone often because the reception is bad.

Karen's picture

Thanks, that would be great!

Jamarianb's picture

They also have cats too. For those that want to help out with cleaning as well.

Karen's picture

Good to know! I've updated the shelter's listing and added 'cats'. (The original author of the listing hasn't logged in to ARK in a while).

Here are is a pic of the cats and dogs.

Thanks for posting these! I've added one of your pictures to the main shelter description ~ hope that's OK!

Jamarianb's picture

There is no problem at all. Just wish I had better photos. Will see on Sunday.

I'd like to volunteer here, how do I let the owner know I plan on visiting?

Jamarianb's picture

Honestly I don't have a number for you to call. I always just arrive there and help out when needed.

nimimim's picture

Ok, I'll probably travel up there this week. Could you give me directions on how to get there from 사릉 or 별마을 ?
thanks!

Jamarianb's picture

I have placed the pictures in order from train station to the dog shelter. I'm out of time now, but I can see if I can write more detail later.

nimimim's picture

ah this is great. one last question, does the owner speak any English?

Jamarianb's picture

No she doesn't. Also cell service is not good there.
