Adoption Application

The goal of an adoption application is to ensure that both the animal and adopter are happily matched for life. By answering as thoroughly as you can, you will help caregivers understand more about your lifestyle, family, home, and preferences. The written application is the beginning of the conversation-- expect more questions to follow and please ask your own questions about the animal as well. Be frank about what behaviours you wouldn't tolerate in a companion and what characteristics you are looking for in particular. If a caregiver doesn't think the animal you are applying for would be your perfect match, they may still be able to suggest another animal who would.

Where to Send Your Application

For animals listed on ARK, send your completed adoption application as well as your questions about a particular animal directly to the contact person listed on the animal's adoption profile. Forms are not submitted to ARK.

Who Screens?

It is the shelter, rescue group, or caretaker that screens adopters and makes adoption decisions. Animal Rescue Korea is not involved in the screening process of adopters, caretakers, or animals. It is the responsibility of the individuals involved in the adoption process to screen each other thoroughly. The adoption application below is made freely available to any caretaker who needs to use it, but Korean shelters, rescue groups, and individual rescuers all have different adoption policies and may use different adoption application forms. Please ask them which form they would like you to fill.

Application Formats

The English forms below contain the same content in three different formats. The Korean form is available in .doc format only. Thanks to Priscilla and friend for providing the Korean translation!!
